A continuaci\u00f3n se enumeran algunos proyectos destacados, con un presupuesto superior a 1 mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares, a los que hay que prestar atenci\u00f3n en 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En los \u00faltimos meses, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rgvbusinessjournal.com\/es\/news\/15\/07\/2026\/pharr-aprueba-la-emision-de-bonos-por-un-importe-de-hasta-60-millones-de-dolares-para-construir-unas-nuevas-instalaciones-municipales-de-80-000-pies-cuadrados\/\">la ciudad de Pharr aprob\u00f3 una emisi\u00f3n<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rgvbusinessjournal.com\/es\/news\/15\/07\/2026\/pharr-aprueba-la-emision-de-bonos-por-un-importe-de-hasta-60-millones-de-dolares-para-construir-unas-nuevas-instalaciones-municipales-de-80-000-pies-cuadrados\/\">de bonos<\/a> por un importe m\u00e1ximo de 60 millones de d\u00f3lares para su nuevo edificio municipal, que se convertir\u00e1 en un centro polivalente dedicado a la seguridad p\u00fablica, las conferencias y los eventos, situado en la intersecci\u00f3n de la U.S. 281 y la esquina noreste de Ferguson Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahora, el ayuntamiento ha solicitado las licencias de obra para un centro de eventos de 40 millones de d\u00f3lares y 118 000 pies cuadrados; seg\u00fan los registros del Departamento de Licencias y Regulaci\u00f3n de Texas, las obras comenzar\u00e1n en abril y el proyecto estar\u00e1 terminado en mayo de 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=12UiDk9FsKGBXfONp4H2W7aqmO_Koje0&amp;ehbc=2E312F\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La primera fase del proyecto urban\u00edstico \u00abMcAllen City Center\u00bb ya est\u00e1 en marcha, en una ubicaci\u00f3n privilegiada justo al norte de la autopista 83 y la calle 10. El promotor Michael Fallek est\u00e1 trabajando en el primer edificio de m\u00faltiples inquilinos, que tendr\u00e1 un coste de 13 millones de d\u00f3lares y abarcar\u00e1 32 500 pies cuadrados de espacio en bruto, con acabados previstos para los futuros inquilinos.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan los datos disponibles, est\u00e1 previsto que las obras comiencen en enero de 2027 y finalicen a finales de diciembre de 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Universidad de Texas del R\u00edo Grande del Valle ha iniciado la construcci\u00f3n de un nuevo centro de investigaci\u00f3n de ecosistemas marinos en Port Isabel, con una superficie de 14 725 pies, cuyo coste se estima en 8,9 millones de d\u00f3lares. Los contratistas de la universidad comenzaron las obras en diciembre de 2025 y se prev\u00e9 que las finalicen en marzo de 2027. El centro se construir\u00e1 a lo largo de Marina Drive, cerca de la calzada Queen Isabella.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En abril se iniciaron las obras de las nuevas instalaciones de Alliance Surgical Partners en Brownsville, un proyecto de 2,6 millones de d\u00f3lares destinado a un centro de cirug\u00eda ambulatoria de 13 658 pies cuadrados. Se prev\u00e9 que las obras concluyan en abril de 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El centro est\u00e1 situado en East Alton Gloor Boulevard, cerca del South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital. El centro quir\u00fargico es propiedad del doctor Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez, con sede en McAllen, quien tambi\u00e9n dirige el centro m\u00e9dico-est\u00e9tico \u00abUptown Medical Wellness and Anti-Aging Center\u00bb.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Distrito Escolar Independiente de Hidalgo inici\u00f3 en abril las obras de construcci\u00f3n de un nuevo centro de formaci\u00f3n profesional y t\u00e9cnica de 21 000 pies cuadrados, cuyo coste se estima en 6,6 millones de d\u00f3lares. Se prev\u00e9 que las obras finalicen en abril de 2027. El edificio se construir\u00e1 junto al Memorial Park, en el mismo emplazamiento que la Hidalgo Early College High School, en la Octava Calle.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el \u00e1mbito comercial, la ciudad de Harlingen contar\u00e1 con unas instalaciones de Back Nine Golf, cuya finalizaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 prevista para septiembre de 2026; se trata de un proyecto de 300
