La junta directiva de la Corporaci\u00f3n de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico de Rio Grande City nombr\u00f3 la semana pasada a Melinda G\u00f3mez directora ejecutiva, tras la dimisi\u00f3n de su predecesor este verano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El 2 de junio, Rosbell \u00abRoss\u00bb G. Barrera dej\u00f3 su cargo de director ejecutivo tras apenas unos meses en el puesto, alegando que quer\u00eda marcharse por el bien de la organizaci\u00f3n \u00abantes de que el ambiente desagradable siguiera agrav\u00e1ndose\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n

La junta directiva de la EDC de Rio Grande City nombr\u00f3 a G\u00f3mez como sustituta interina de Barrera en julio, elogi\u00e1ndola por su labor en la organizaci\u00f3n. Seg\u00fan su perfil de LinkedIn, G\u00f3mez llevaba casi una d\u00e9cada desempe\u00f1ando el cargo de responsable de comunicaci\u00f3n de la EDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abGracias por esta oportunidad, y seguir\u00e9 dando lo mejor de m\u00ed misma hasta que, en alg\u00fan momento, encontr\u00e9is a alguien mejor\u00bb, dijo entonces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La semana pasada, la junta directiva decidi\u00f3 que G\u00f3mez era, de hecho, el mejor candidato.<\/p>\n\n\n

G\u00f3mez afirm\u00f3 que espera seguir trabajando para impulsar el crecimiento en su hogar de acogida y se\u00f1al\u00f3 que le costar\u00e1 un poco acostumbrarse a estar en el punto de mira.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
