La ciudad de McAllen tiene previsto construir un nuevo pol\u00edgono industrial de 47 acres entre los puentes de Anzalduas y Pharr International, y podr\u00eda recibir millones en subvenciones federales para invertir en infraestructuras p\u00fablicas con el fin de hacer realidad este proyecto, seg\u00fan los documentos obtenidos por el Rio Grande Valley Business Journal.\u00a0<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

Se prev\u00e9 que el nuevo pol\u00edgono industrial se ubique junto a la carretera Farm-to-Market 1016, tambi\u00e9n conocida como West Military Highway, en la esquina noroeste de la calle South 10th Street, en McAllen. Las obras podr\u00edan comenzar ya en septiembre y finalizar en febrero de 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En los \u00faltimos meses, McAllen ha presentado una solicitud de subvenci\u00f3n ante la Administraci\u00f3n de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico de EE. UU. con el fin de obtener 6,3 millones de d\u00f3lares para financiar proyectos de infraestructura p\u00fablica por un valor de 7,8 millones de d\u00f3lares. La ciudad prev\u00e9 aportar 1,5 millones de d\u00f3lares de sus propias arcas para el proyecto.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
