{"id":22400,"date":"2026-08-10T18:40:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T23:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rgvbusinessjournal.com\/news\/10\/08\/2026\/edinburg-inicia-una-remodelacion-de-7-millones-de-dolares-del-campo-de-golf-ebony-hills-situado-cerca-del-centro-de-la-ciudad\/"},"modified":"2026-08-29T15:05:27","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T20:05:27","slug":"edinburg-inicia-una-remodelacion-de-7-millones-de-dolares-del-campo-de-golf-ebony-hills-situado-cerca-del-centro-de-la-ciudad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rgvbusinessjournal.com\/es\/news\/10\/08\/2026\/edinburg-inicia-una-remodelacion-de-7-millones-de-dolares-del-campo-de-golf-ebony-hills-situado-cerca-del-centro-de-la-ciudad\/","title":{"rendered":"Edinburg inicia una remodelaci\u00f3n de 7 millones de d\u00f3lares del campo de golf Ebony Hills, situado cerca del centro de la ciudad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Longtime resident Bill Carlson, president of the Friends of Ebony Hills Golf Course, a nonprofit organization in Edinburg dedicated to the preservation of the park space for the entire community, can envision the next generation of the 63-acre urban green space near the city\u2019s downtown, county courthouse, and state college campus.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s more than just a golf course,\u201d Carlson said, noting that there\u2019s an ecotourism draw for birders from around the globe because of the ebony trees, and it\u2019s an event space for community events in addition to golf. \u201cThere\u2019s so many times we could have easily lost this property; we\u2019re blessed to have it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carlson has been involved with the local community\u2019s park space since the 1990s and is a past president of the Edinburg Rotary Club, a civic organization in the city, and is on the golf advisory board.
