New Payne Volkswagen dealership coming to Edinburg

EDINBURG, Texas — Plans for a new Volkswagen auto dealership in Edinburg were filed this month, state records indicate.

The project calls for a 46,659-square-foot, one-story automobile sales facility and service shop with a parts-storage mezzanine at 715 E. Wisconsin Road. 

The filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows the project is privately funded with an estimated cost of $15 million. The owner is listed as EMP Holdings, L.L.C., with design work by Houston-based firm CDI Douglass-Pye. 

The filing notes construction is scheduled to begin February 15, 2026, with completion by February 15, 2027.
