Truckers block cargo on Mexican side of Progreso International Bridge over empty-trailer restrictions

Commercial trucks are parked along a roadway near the Las Flores cargo crossing on the Mexican side of the Progreso International Bridge in Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas, during a truckers’ protest that disrupted cargo operations and agricultural shipments between Mexico and Texas.

Drivers say a restriction preventing empty trailers from entering Mexico through the bridge has disrupted agricultural trade and created uncertainty.
