Veteran-owned 5×5 Brewing Company is exploring a move from Mission to Edinburg in 2026, marking a potential new chapter for one of the Rio Grande Valley’s most recognizable craft breweries.
Stan Cummings, a member of the brewery’s ownership group, told the Rio Grande Valley Business Journal that the decision is still in the works.
“We’ve had discussions about doing this for a long time, and it’s still in the discussion stage,” Cummings said. “I can’t share any information because it’s not entirely concrete yet, so we can’t share anything yet.”
Cummings declined to identify a possible location in Edinburg or say whether the brewery might settle near the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley campus to attract the collegiate crowd.
