Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons is preparing to open a fifth store in Tamaulipas before the end of 2025, strengthening its footprint along the Mexican border.
The upcoming unit will be a container-format, drive-thru–only store at Reynosa’s San Fernando exit in Colonia Juárez. It follows the Aug. 16 opening of a fourth location inside Plaza Periférico on Libramiento Sur, a route that connects Reynosa to Monterrey. That store created 16 jobs.

“It has to open this year,” Eduardo Villarreal, assistant manager for Tim Hortons in Reynosa, said. “We have a lot of confidence in opening stores here.”
The chain’s growth in Reynosa has attracted a loyal following.
