REYNOSA, Tamaulipas — Shoppers on Reynosa’s east side will soon have two new places to shop as one of Mexico’s largest department store chains and a new home improvement retail concept take shape in the Villa Diamante district, a growing commercial and residential area along the Monterrey-Reynosa Highway.

The projects include a new Coppel department store, part of one of Mexico’s largest retail and consumer finance chains, and the first TODO TODO location, a building materials and home improvement brand developed by Reynosa-based Grupo Blanquita.
The retailers also join the nearby Multicomercial Reynosa project, a mixed-use commercial center under construction by CIEN Grupo Inmobiliario that is planned to include retail space, a modern food market, medical offices, and other commercial services.
For Grupo Blanquita, the project marks the debut of TODO TODO, a new retail brand designed to complement its traditional building materials stores.
According to a representative from the company’s marketing department, TODO TODO was created as a smaller-format retail concept that can serve neighborhoods where the company’s larger Blanquita stores are not practical.
The stores will carry the same building materials, remodeling products, and home improvement supplies under a separate brand and a standardized format intended to support future expansion.
The Villa Diamante location will be the first TODO TODO store in Reynosa. Company officials said the project remains under development and have not released information on the investment amount, building size, opening date, or operational specifications.
Grupo Blanquita, which began operations in Reynosa in 1979, currently operates five traditional building materials stores in Reynosa and another in Guadalupe, Nuevo León.

Adjacent to the TODO TODO project, construction is also underway on the new Coppel store.
Personnel overseeing construction said the project could be completed by late September if weather conditions do not delay the work.
The Reynosa store comes as Grupo Coppel carries out a nationwide expansion strategy announced earlier this year.
The retailer plans to invest 14.3 billion pesos, or about $816 million, as part of its 2026-2030 growth strategy, which includes opening more than 80 new stores, remodeling nearly 100 stores and distribution centers, and creating 2,500 direct jobs across Mexico.
