Buffalo Wild Wings GO coming to Pharr

Buffalo Wild Wings appears to be expanding its footprint in the Rio Grande Valley with plans for a Buffalo Wild Wings GO location in Pharr, according to a new state construction filing.

A project registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation calls for a $200,000 renovation at 7311 S. Jackson Road, Suite 300, where an existing tenant space will be converted into a Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurant.

Construction is scheduled to begin Aug. 17 and be completed by Sept. 21, according to the filing.

The project involves the renovation of a 1,960-square-foot inline retail space.

Unlike the chain’s traditional sports bar restaurants, Buffalo Wild Wings GO is the company’s smaller-format concept focused on takeout, delivery, and limited dine-in service.

The renovation will be privately funded by the tenant, according to the filing.

The property owner is listed as NOTOOPHARR LLC of Evansville, Indiana. The tenant is identified as Jimmy Boparai, while AEP America of Fort Worth is serving as the design firm. The project has been registered with the state, indicating it has moved into the construction phase.

The filing does not indicate an expected opening date.

The planned location continues a steady stream of restaurant investment across Hidalgo County, where national brands have continued expanding alongside the region’s rapid residential and commercial growth.

If completed as filed, the project would introduce Buffalo Wild Wings’ fast-casual GO concept to Pharr, adding another quick-service dining option along the South Jackson Road commercial corridor.
