Swig is bringing its customizable “dirty sodas” to the Rio Grande Valley, starting with a new Edinburg location and plans for five more stores across the region.
The Utah-founded beverage chain plans to open its first Valley location at 415 W. Trenton Road in mid-2027, according to the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation. Five additional locations are planned elsewhere in the region, although their locations and opening timelines were not disclosed.
The Edinburg store represents an estimated $1 million in private investment and is expected to create about 15 full-time jobs. The company projects the location will generate about $1.8 million in annual sales.
Swig will occupy an approximately 800-square-foot pad site within the existing Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux development along Trenton Road, using part of the development’s existing parking area.
