HARLINGEN, Texas — Plans for a new pickleball-court facility in Harlingen were filed this month, state records indicate.

The project includes the construction of an approximately 8,791-square-foot covered pickleball facility with new courts and a roof structure at 3601 W. Business 83.  At nearly 9,000 square feet, the planned space is comparable in size to two standard high-school basketball courts.

It carries an estimated cost of $120,000 and lists TJM Equity Investments Inc. as the owner, with Mario Torres as the project contact, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The filing notes a projected completion date of November 2026.
