A new 7-Eleven convenience store and fueling station is planned in Mercedes as part of a $1.2 million construction project, according to a state filing.
The project, registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, calls for the construction of a 4,746-square-foot convenience store at 1990 W. Expressway 83.
The one-story development will include fueling services and is scheduled to begin construction on Jan. 4, 2027, with completion targeted for Sept. 20, 2027, according to the filing.
The project is privately funded and will be built on private land for private use.
The property owner is listed as Pariom, with Bhavin Patel identified as the owner contact. The filing identifies Dave Johnson as the tenant contact.
Dallas-based The Dimension Group is listed as the project’s design firm.
The proposed location sits along the Expressway 83 corridor, one of the Rio Grande Valley’s busiest commercial and transportation routes.
Additional details regarding the number of fuel pumps, employment opportunities or store amenities were not included in the filing.
