Dollar General plans to build a $600,000 store in Edcouch, adding a new retail development in eastern Hidalgo County, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The proposed 9,100-square-foot store would sit at the southwest corner of FM 2812 and La Blanca Road.
Construction is scheduled to begin March 1, 2027, with completion expected Sept. 1, 2027, according to the filing registered Wednesday.
The project calls for construction of a prefabricated metal building on privately owned land using private funding.
