MISSION — Small business owners in Mission can now apply for up to $15,000 in grant funding through the Mission Economic Development Corporation’s Build Mission Fund, which opened its third annual application cycle this month.

“This program has proven to be a catalyst for entrepreneurship and local investment,” said Teclo Garcia, CEO of Mission EDC. “By reducing financial barriers, we’re empowering small businesses to thrive, which in turn strengthens Mission’s economy and quality of life.”

The program, part of Mission EDC’s Ruby Red Ventures initiative, aims to help local entrepreneurs expand, renovate, and strengthen their operations. Applications opened Oct. 1 and will run through Oct. 31, with awards scheduled for November.
This year, the corporation allocated $225,000 to the program, continuing its investment in small business growth and local job creation.
