$39M apartment complex planned in Brownsville

A nearly $40 million apartment complex is planned in Brownsville, according to a new state construction filing.

Sonrisa Village Apartments is proposed for 5000 Bowie Road, with an estimated construction cost of $39.05 million, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The privately funded project calls for construction of a 376,174-square-foot apartment complex on private property.

Construction is expected to begin Dec. 11 and be completed by July 17, 2028, according to the filing.
