A new strip center is planned along Griffin Parkway in Mission, adding more commercial space to a corridor already lined with restaurants, retailers, and other businesses.

The Plaza at Griffin is planned for 2539 E. Griffin Parkway, according to a new project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The privately funded project calls for construction of a 5,838-square-foot strip center at an estimated cost of $590,000.

Construction is scheduled to begin Oct. 1 and be completed by April 1, 2027, according to the filing.
