Edinburg reports 32% jump in construction activity through October

Construction activity in Edinburg increased more than 32% through October, according to a news release city officials issued Friday.

The release reported $364.3 million in year-to-date permit valuations as of October 2025, up from $275.6 million during the same period in 2024.

The growth spans residential, multi-family, and commercial sectors, reflecting broad development across the city, city officials said.

Residential construction — including new homes and renovations — is keeping pace with population growth and housing demand, city officials said. Multi-family development has more than doubled year-over-year, expanding options for new residents.
