Bettcher Manufacturing will expand its operations in Mission with a $3 million investment expected to create 50 new jobs, according to Teclo Garcia, president and CEO of the Mission Economic Development Corporation.

The project will add a new manufacturing line at Bettcher’s 60,000-square-foot facility in the Mission Expressway Business Park, where the company currently employs about 60 workers.

“This is Bettcher’s second expansion since moving to Mission in 2023,” Garcia said in a social media post Thursday.

The project is expected to generate nearly $16 million in annual economic impact, Garcia said.

Bettcher’s expansion comes as industrial activity continues to build within the Mission Expressway Business Park, where other manufacturers — including Stanley Black & Decker — have also expanded operations.

Bettcher, a full-service metal component manufacturer, supports a range of industrial applications requiring precision fabrication and assembly.

In addition to its Mission facility, the company employs hundreds of workers at a manufacturing plant in Reynosa, Mexico.

New jobs tied to the expansion will include press operators, laser operators, material handlers, welders, as well as supervisory and quality control roles, Garcia said. Additional hiring could follow as production capacity grows.

“Manufacturing jobs represent top-tier jobs that inject new funds into the local economy,” Garcia said.
