SpaceX is listed as the owner of a proposed $12 million city hall and police station in Starbase, according to a state construction filing registered Thursday.
The project calls for an 11,500-square-foot civic building at 1 Rocket Road in Starbase, the Cameron County municipality established around SpaceX’s South Texas launch operations.
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, the building would house Starbase City Hall, a police station with limited detention rooms, and dispatch operations.
Construction is scheduled to begin Dec. 1, with completion projected for Dec. 31, 2027.
