Two Rio Grande Valley businesses joined forces to create what they hope is the next big thing in healthy school snacks — mangonada paletas.
I Love Chamoy and Valley Ice Cream spent the last 10 months combining their expertise to create natural fruit popsicles with sugar-free chamoy.
As of late September, the companies began distributing the first round of products to local partner districts, but both owners think they could take their paletas outside the Valley.
