Love’s Travel Stops is planning a $600,000 project to add electric vehicle charging stations at its Edinburg location along Expressway 281.
The privately funded project will bring four individual charging stations to Love’s Travel Stop No. 284 at 8420 N. Expressway 281, according to a new filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Plans also call for the installation of a power cabinet and electrical switchgear to support the charging equipment.
Construction is scheduled to begin March 1, 2027, and be completed by April 26, 2027, according to the filing.
